who needs gasoline?

does anyone here use alternative fuel? say... methanol, ethanol toluene, isopropyl (common rubbing) alcohol? anything? not just a little to help pass emissions, but say... 5+ gallons to raise the octance of your fuel (for those of us that can't get higher than 92)? according to this page methanol and ethanol can cause some minor damage if used excessively... but the rest seem to be ok.

any thoughts? i think rubbing alcohol would be a supercheap way to boost octane for everyday driving.

Do some research on Tolulene. That is a pretty good additive.

Other than that, don't put any rubbing alcohol in your car. It will not work.

actually, rubbing alcohol has an octance rating of 101, so it will work i did notice one site said that rubbing alcohol tends to have the same dangers as methanol... so i don't plan on using that.
i think i'll try to find out if i can buy mass quantities of toluene without any sort of license...
