! the log starts out in 1st gear and then ends at 7000rpm in 3rd gear. I just want to know whats going on with my car. This is just timing and o2 volts. The timming seems to be all over the place utnil 3rd gear. it levels off nice and just stays there.

Type out the information you got from third gear, all I need is rpm's and timing.

Yeah, we need excel spread sheet form. The graphs look pretty, but we need to see rpms, timing, throttle position, o2 voltage.

EDIT - Since you are still a 2g, you can't log knock count correct. Just saw it listed in your graph.

What I do not understand is my damn TPS? never really hits over 90% at all?

this is a big16g @15psi and the car feels slow. I know I have a boost leak to find and fix but what about this log?

I will try and make another run tonight and log it to see what the TPS will do just to make sure everything is ok.

You want help eh? Chris your timing looks pretty good. I didnt even bother reading your second post, but IMO logs under 3rd gear aren't a waste of time but they aren't very good to tune and understand whats going on with. Use 3rd or 4th gear logs only. I always start from ~2-3k in 3rd and go to the top of 4th gear when doing logs....being in gear that long gives great feedback.

If you have a boost leak....fix it. If you TPS is reading 90% at WOT then adjust throttle cable, TPS and after all that check to make sure you get a full 4.8-5.0 volts at the TPS itself. After this if you come back and give me a nice 3rd and 4th gear pull typed out nicely I promise we'll be able to help you out a lot. :thumb:

chris--

are you going out to the mazda sport compact challenge this weekend at kcir? I could probably check out your logs/car there. We could hook up my pocketlogger and see if it reads better than that tunerstein software.

sorry I didn't make it out there on sunday. the custom off roader I am building needed a LOT more work. I have been putting in about 3 weeks of 14 hour days 7 days a week to get it ready. painted it yesterday and leave for 4 days of racing tomorrow.

ok, back to the logs. timing has a nice upward progression which is mostly what you should be looking for. It would be a lot easier to see though if you could trim these down to: tps, rpm, 02 volt., timing. and only give us the parts of the log that are over 85% tps.

you can tell if you're knocking by not even having the ability to phycially see it on the logger. hell i cna tell just by looking at your logs
and you are a bit

You don't need to record that much data. Just timing, RPM, throttle position, and O2 volts. The load, MPH, knock and so on are cluttering the good stuff up. I don't have tunerstein so I don't know if you can clean it up. If you could put it in an easy to read format that would be great.. like this:

RPM Timing TPS O2

xxxx yyy zzz aa

It makes things SO much easier and quicker. You need to check to make sure the throttle is opening all the way first. It looks like you are running quite rich.
