New Safc II question

Reading prostreet's writeup I see that the new afc will not show knock on a 2nd gen with ObdII.

Will it show knock with 1st gen and ObdI ?

I did not set mine up for knock, but doing research I read a bunch of forum posts saying that the SAFC II knock reading is just a guess. The number it shows is different than what an actual logger will show, and is somewhat inaccurate. I'll stick with my pocketlogger for knock counts.

I have a datalogger . I just didn't want to lug it out to the car all the time
