Battery

I just bought a new battery, now whenever I try to turn the car on when the door is open it wont start, or if I have the air on or the stero on. The engine will turn over, but it wont start. I got a battery with 550 cold cranking amps, That is what was in the car when I got it. I was thinking (hoping) that my problem was that the battery is not powerful enough. What CCA batteries do you have in your cars? Do you think the battery is my problem? Thanks guys.

i think he's hopeing we can tell him why he needed a new one or if he does at all..

I got a new battery already, The old one was bad, I got up one morning and the car wouldnt start. So I went to sears and got a new one. I just dont know if i need one that is more powerful.

Did you have them run a charging system test? If you put a new battery in, and almost immediately the car starts having problems starting again, I would suspect that the charging system is having problems. Take the car to Sears, and have them do a charging system test on it.
