AEM EMS, is it the best stand alone for the DSM? What are you opinions on the AEM EMS and is there anything better then it in terms of adjustability?

Also where can I buy one?

I don't have a boner.

Sorry to say this, but since you're asking such a broad question, perhaps you should think twice about trying to use a standalone.

The EMS is one of the best things out for a DSM at this time, but the question is, do you need it? The answer is probably a resounding "no."

If you don't even know where you canf idn one to buy, you DEFINATELY need to do some more research.

I know exactly what is involved in tuning a stand alone. And your right I sure done need one right now. But when I get back from basic and tech school for the Air Force and get my fat bonus on top of the savings I save until that time I will have a good amount of cash for pretty much everything but a built block.:D

The EMS is god-like, and really, if you skip a step or two, and run the EMS to begin with, it will save you some money in the long run.....However, if you are going to buy it, i would get a wideband O2 to use the auto fuel mapping, it will be hell without it. If you are looking to buy one, contact me.....i can get you a killer price on an EMS. Less than 1300 shipped.

The TuNeRs RuInEd My CAR, and they call themselves certified!! Does anyone have any Ideas or basic maps that they could suggest to me for timing and aif/fuel for my AEM EMS. Please help me!

The AEM EMS is a very nice setup for a race car. It's usable on the street. Adds a ton of nice features, but one thing you lose is the ability of the car to automatically adjust for different octane fuel. You load a map that you've setup for a certain fuel and if you happen to get some 91 octane instead of 94, the car won't know any better and will still set timing where it's programmed. Same the other way. Set it up for 94, then throw some race gas in and you've just wasted a bunch of $$$ on race gas :) Nice setup, but you need to know what you're getting yourself into!
