ok i'm about to get dsmlink next week. how do u tune the timing? how do u know what to make it? one guy told me to advance it until the check engine light comes on and then back off 2 degrees. this guy runs a 11.7 on a 20g on a stock internal 2g motor and on pump gas. stock head and everything like that and he ahs had dsmlink since it came out. is he right or does anyone have a btter idea? i know the global thing and the dead time and the air fuel, i know how to tune that stuff but i have no idea how to do timing.
There is a raw knock value(like knock counts, or knocksum, or whatever you feel like calling it), and then there is the amount of timing retard due to this, which is a direct relationship.
