emk, i haven't ordered the '95 EPROM ECU yet, nor the link to hook up from the ECU to my laptop.....um......all i have is i downloaded the software from dsmlink.com and now um... i was looking at their example runs and then i was trying to edit their runs, for like practice tunning. and then a failed message came up... please help i dunno if i actually need everything else or if there's a problem please reply!! ASAP!

Unless they have changed things, the software available for download is the full version. BUT, without having the dsmlink equipped ECU connected to it, you will not be able to access many of the functions. Before you can edit fuel or timing tables, it tries to download whats in the ECU currently. So if the ECU isnt there, it gives you a comm failure message.

Just wait until you get the ECU to try to learn how the program works. If you want to learn about it beforehand, go to their website, and read the Users Guide.

I believe the software you download from dsmlink is just a demo, you cant change anything on it.
