Anyone have any idea's what might cause this? Might want to fast forward to 50 seconds.

IMG 0347 - YouTube

The car now starts after several compresssion tests and leak test, inspecting the valve springs, etc. I do have about 20% leak on one of the cylinders.

Just seems like the car is having a hard time starting when cold. After it started and warmed up, I had zero issues restarting it.

Thanks!

That's some mod list: "intake, exhaust, injectors, fp, evoIII"

You got anything more specific there Sparky? It sounds to me like you don't really have much compression. Maybe the cylinders are washed down by those mystery sized injectors with no way to tune them.

Test coolant temp sensor. Also, is your mod list current?

How do you test the temp sensor? Does it fail over time?

My mods consisting off:

Apexi power intake
Full Apexi exhaust
Hahn inter cooler
180 fuel pump with rewire
Evo3 turbo
1g bov with hard pipe
PTE 650
Taylor wires
New Ngk 7 plugs
Act fly wheel and clutch
Dsm link v3
10w-30 oil

I should mention that I'm a professional automotive tech, and it only takes a few seconds of listening to that thing crank, to tell you that there's something wrong compression wise.

-What kind of compression readings did you get?
-Did your timing belt jump?

I had a shop change the belt etc a couple months ago.

150 120 150 150

2 cylinders had hardly any lose with the leak down test. The other two had 10% and 20%. The one with 20% was the one with the low compression. It seemed like it had to crank more to get to 120 too. Timing looked ok at the cams. I couldn't get to the crank to check the timing mark there yet.

Is there a better spark plug I can try too? Right now I have the Ngk 7es in.

I'll probably get some new plugs today. Does the starter sound ok? I'm wondering if it's getting old and maybe not turning over fast enough? It's the original starter with 200,000 miles on it.

Think it could be partly a bad PCV valve? The car did start right a away after I removed the valve cover and put it back on after additional leak down tests. I never tested the PCV but obviously had to wrench it.

Also, if you listen closely you can hear some weird pops when cranking.... Pressure build up?
