hey guys, pretty new with tuning and using the AEM. just wondering what kind of a/f ratios i should be looking for when tuning for passing an emissions test. i just need to get it to pass on one rpm since i know whos e testing it...

also wondering what my a/f ratios should be when cruising. in fifth gear around 85km/h im seeing mid 12's seems rich to me for cruise... thoughts?

Can't comment on emissions, we don't have them thankfully. As for the afr cruise and idle should be around 14.5.

Emissions best afr is 14.7; cruise afr could be even leaner like 15.3 or so, 12's are way too rich!

Google tuning to pass emissions, you'll find topics dating back for years upon years, and it turns out there's many factor more important than the tune such as coolant temp, cat-converter temp and condition etc..

but one thing for sure, leaner isn't always better, since they are scanning with a 5 gas exhaust analyzer you have to balance timing and AFR's to get all 5 gasses in their acceptable ranges (sounds like a PITA from what i've read and there's plenty out there)

One thing i will say is if your car wasn't meant for flex-fuel/E85, DON'T tellsthem you run it because you'll fail instantly since it's illegal to do for some god forsaken reason
