2G MAF/MAS ground

Hi

im wondering if youguys ever had a problem with your ground (black wire) to the MAF plug. The ground aint working and was wondering if I could just ground it anywhere o it has to be grounded to the ECU or it dosent matter.

Tried grounding it to the body and worked out , but asking i case the airflow reading depend on the grounding to the ECU

I don't know for sure if the MAS is grounded through the ECU stock, I sort of doubt it, -but as long as there's no electrical charge difference between the ground point you choose and the ground reference the ECU uses, the MAS readings the ECU sees will be the same.
