i had a aem ugeo wideband for like 4 months and im al ready having problems with it! i went and got my car tuned, and ever since that night the wideband like is acting rele funny! it like doesnt read anything at all. like when i start the car it would start normally, then will got o 14.8 then to lean , 50 times over and over and over. when wot and cruising and at idle still doesnt move. what do you guys think it could be. mabye bad sensor or bad ground. bad battery. idk. i also heard that some volkswaggon o2 sensors are the same . some one please help i need to fix this thanks alot guys:hellyeah:

If you bought it new, throw it back in the box and return it. If you bought it used, throw it in the trash ...then take your whuppin' stick and go find the guy who sold it to you.

The UEGO controller uses a resistor that changes resistance as it ages to compensate for the changing output of an aging WBO2 sensor. If the sensor is replaced and the resistor isn't, your gauge will read very inaccurately. That's also why all the better controllers on the market have to be calibrated periodically.

Have you tested the sensor with carb cleaner to see if it works? All you have to do is remove the sensor from the bung, get a rag, spray it with carb cleaner, put the rag over the O2 sensor and watch the guage. It should go full rich, remove rag and watch the guage. It should go full lean after a few. If it does not react to the carb cleaner test, you may need a new sensor.
Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to also check the wiring terminations/splices to ensure good connectivity.
I've had my AEM UEGO for almost a year on my car. Daily driven, about 30k on the sensor,in the stock location and it's still going strong. Good Luck!
