Sandwich Adapter on OFH quesiton

Hello, I have searched around a bit and haven't found an answer. I want to install my prosport oil pressure gauge but I have no good place to mount the sensor as I want to keep my stock sensor. So, I want to use a oil filter sandwich plate between the OFH and oil filter. I have a 3" Megan Racing downpipe and I am wondering if anyone has been able to fit a sandwich adapter on the OFH with the filter without hitting the down pipe. Thank you for any help.

You might be able to sqeeze it in with an EVO 8/9 Oil filter; they're a little smaller in length

Any reason for keeping the stock sensor? You can still keep the oil pressure inidcator light and that should be good enough. The stock sensor isn't very accurate anyways.

I want to keep the stock sensor mainly because I don't want a dead gauge in my dash.

You could use a T fitting and tap it into the same port as your stock one.

I have read that the brass T fittings break very easily. How about remote mounting the T.

I would get a SS line to attach to the OFH then remote mount the T.

But has anyone had problems with the oil filter hitting the downpipe using the sandwich plate?

I'm actually remote mounting my oil pressure sensor. I got 16" of -3an SS line with the appropriate fittings. I drilled and tapped one of those holes with the plugs in it to fit a normal NPT size fitting while I had the oil filter housing off to port the bypass. Can't remember which NPT size off hand. Then all I use is an adapter in that to get from that size to 1/8" NPT.
