I been researching ECMTuning. They can take a non EPROM ECU and make it a EPROM ECU. Does anyone have any experience with them or the ECU?

I am trying also to find out if they are able to also get you a modified chip?

If you know anything please help.

Anyone?

ECMTuning is amazing. My buddy is running one of those "converted" eproms with no issues what so ever. As far as getting you a modified chip, they'll send you a chip with 2 step launch control, and a baseline tune for your injectors and maf. Everything else is left alone for you to change up with the use of a laptop.

I got just the eprom conversion so i can run a chip from jeff. Awesome work. But now that tax returns are a couple of months away im going with dsmlink.

They are a fantastic company you have nothing to worry about when sending your ecu in.

Do i have to buy other stuff to use this ecu like a ecm link or can i get them to just modify the chip for me so i don,t need a ecm link?

Technically you could go with another form of Eprom tuning, but their customer service and very helpful community are outstanding in the HR department.
Sure there's other tuning out there, now that they have SD it's pretty much dead even if not more leaning in Links direction.
What more do you need from the options they offer?

IMO, I was going to go ostrich until they got the V3 out, but now that's out I'll save my dimes until I can get(back) with the crowd.

We can certainly do the non-EPROM conversion for you on one of your non-EPROM ECUs. We just can't burn a custom chip to go into it. It's not our main business to burn custom one-off chips.

I really think you should probably contact these guys:

DSMChips.com

Jeff can probably arrange a swap of some sort for you and he can burn a custom chip too. We've done a few conversions for him in the past, so he may have a few of those or native EPROM ECUs on hand.

Thanks,

1g eproms go for anywhere from $150-$200, and a custom chip varies. Buy an eprom ecu out right, sell your non eprom for $50-100, and buy a chip. This way your car will not have to be down, and it's cheaper.
