Alright, so I'm knee deep in trying to hardwire a vpc into my 2g. I have all the basic wires in and am now down to the resistors. There is VERY little information on how to hardwire a vpc into a dsm in general but next to none for doing it in a 2g. I joined the vpc yahoo group and have been taking its 1g directions and finding the pins on a 2g pinout that match and doing it that route.
Here's where I got confused. It says that I need to tap into "sensor induced power" pin 23 (for a 1g), but I don't see the corresponding pin on the 2g pinout. I did find one however on the 2g pinout that says sensor impressed voltage (2g pin #81). Could this be the wire I'm lookin for? It says the wire has to be 5 volts to work.
Also, from alot of the pictures of hardwire installs that I have seen my resistors don't match what some of the other look like. Granted some were from celicas and supras and whatnot, I just don't want to do all this work and it not be right, so if anybody has any insight about resistors that would be great. I have two that are Gold red (dark color possibly blue/gray) red, and one that is Gold red red light blue. I hope these work because this is getting to the depth of my knowledge of electronics.
Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
