Alright, so I'm knee deep in trying to hardwire a vpc into my 2g. I have all the basic wires in and am now down to the resistors. There is VERY little information on how to hardwire a vpc into a dsm in general but next to none for doing it in a 2g. I joined the vpc yahoo group and have been taking its 1g directions and finding the pins on a 2g pinout that match and doing it that route.

Here's where I got confused. It says that I need to tap into "sensor induced power" pin 23 (for a 1g), but I don't see the corresponding pin on the 2g pinout. I did find one however on the 2g pinout that says sensor impressed voltage (2g pin #81). Could this be the wire I'm lookin for? It says the wire has to be 5 volts to work.

Also, from alot of the pictures of hardwire installs that I have seen my resistors don't match what some of the other look like. Granted some were from celicas and supras and whatnot, I just don't want to do all this work and it not be right, so if anybody has any insight about resistors that would be great. I have two that are Gold red (dark color possibly blue/gray) red, and one that is Gold red red light blue. I hope these work because this is getting to the depth of my knowledge of electronics.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Yup, that's it. Both are just +5v from the ECU's internal 5v regulation circuit.

Sorry, but I have no idea what the resistors on a VPC do. Are they just selecting which MAS signal to simulate? If so, it's going to be important to identify the correct combination.

From what I understand they actually simulate the iat sensor and baro sensor to give a single steady output. Something like it always appears to the car that its 63 degrees outside or something to that effect. Basically it just tricks the cars into thinking all its sensors are still working but without having to feed it any real data.
