i installed BC 272 cams along with springs and retainers. i also added adj. cam gears, thats it. when i start my car my A/F reads 12.3 and doesnt move at all. can anyone tell me why my cars ,or should i say why my wideband is doing this. i have an eprom ecu and i had the chip tuned before i did this stuff. could the cams throw this thing off this much. let me know.

It constantly stays at 12.3 at wot/idle/etc? Remember that o2 sensors have to warm up for a minute or so before they work correctly.

Your car needs to get to operating temp before it will go into closed loop mode.

fellas, i know that. ive let it run for like 20-30 min and its been like 106 degrees outside so i shouldnt even take that long to warm up. it never did this before i installed the cams. what are the symtoms of a bad 02 sensor.

When o2 sensors go bad they usually default to rich, could be your problem. Also most o2 sensors are heated o2 sensors which take even less time for it to warm up.

Pull the Wideband out of the guage pod and check the connections in the back to make sure you didn't bend one of the pins. This is easier to do that it sounds with an AEM system, not sure about the others. Make sure it's connected correctly.

I did this and the guage would stay on a ceratin reading and never move. If that doesn't work, than your O2 is bad. This is very common with the cheaper wideband sensors. For some reason they don't like pump gas very much.

its a innovative lc-1 wideband with a moates led display, so its not a cheap one LOL. im thinking its a bad 02 cause with the exhaust unhooked (meaning no exhaust flow through the sensor, it is giving the same readings). any other suggestion are welcome and thanks to all who are helping.

ok i went out and looked at my logger and my stock 02 is reading .05v. is this right

My LC-1 took a crap on me after about two months. I tested it for trouble codes and didn't get any response. I contacted Innovate and they sent me a return #. They sent me a brand new lc-1 controller which I actually just got back about 2 hours ago.
:rocks:Innovate customer service was top notch, didn't even ask me for a reciept and I bought it off of Ebay.

Could be shotty wiring as well.

It's not very hard to check if the sensor is bad. Here's a little video even though its AEM

Funny you say this happened after installing cams, my issues began on my initial test drives after swapping the car to 5spd

well the stock o2 sensor was bad. i just replaced it and everything ocsolates now. now when i rev it or try to should i say, it revs to like 2500 and back down and keeps doing this not matter how much gas i give it
