Fuel pump rewire

So I did my fuel pump rewire today on a factory fuel pump, and it caused my idle to raise but about 1200 RPM is this normal?

Uhm no and rewiring the fuel pump shouldn't do that either. See if you can back the BISS out.

Well I had already backed my BISS out. Got my idle back under control was just wondering if it was normal.

Well I guess my fuel pump wasn't running very efficiently before because once I put the BISS screw about 3/4 of the way back in to get idle under control I got my 18hg vacuum instead of 16hg vacuum. Really glad I did the rewire.

I'm glad you did the fuel pump rewire, but a kind word to not pay attention too much to vacuum reading. The sumbitch can be very deceiving at times.

Yeah vacuum seals, and boost leaks. I'm tired of replacing rubber hoses, just don't have the money for hard piping and silicone hoses yet.
