We need a log from 2500rpms WOT all the way to redline, unless you get knock over 15 counts then I would just get off the throttle. If your running stock injectors you should not be messing with the safc to much. Stock boost on every 16g ive had is 10-12psi max.
I think you are running more than 14psi because your injectors are maxed out. Thats why you are seeing the knock.
well i dont want to goto redline, i have never pulled the car that high of rpm before, and it actually feels slow at anything past 6k rpms like it has no power that high, time to shift
Please fill out your vehicle profile, we need to know what mods you have and it's easier than listing it every time. When baseline tuning, start at zero % across the HI's and do a log. with stock injectors, it may very well mean that at +5% or +100% the injectors are already wide open. Get a log with your HI's set at 0. What are you th points? I generally like to use 30/70.
Have you done a thorough boost leak test to 20 psi?
You sure boost is not creeping in the high rpms. You need to watch the boost, it may hit 14psi but once you get above 5000rpms look again. I bet the boost is creeping up to 20psi by redline and that is causing you to knock and run out of injector. Only explanation I can see.
I saw this same thread on another forum, where I advised that +20%, running stock injectors, was way too rich. I had him make a pull with the SAFC zeroed out that showed 0.70v for the front O2.
The only thing I can come up with is that he's running a 2g MAS in a 1g and didn't tell anyone.
I think he's reading that value off the SAFC and not the logger. The OBD-I protocol doesn't allow the ECU to output more than 1607Hz even though the MAS may be reporting a higher value to the ECU.
I have a 1g maf, on the safc ive read around 1900 hz of air for the max value. Ive read about the same amount maybe more on my old talon with a 14b runnin 15- 20lbs of boost
Now have fmic, some small boost leaks fixed. Also a 190 pump.
Car was boost creeping to 20 lbs. and still does.
Now has evo 560 injectors w/safc -24 across board with much improvemet. I have around 5k miles on it this way and see great gas mileage 27 mpg (highway). Tuning my o2 volts are around .76-.83 on wot little to no knock.
Next week I am going to try to find time to install a 2g maf with a cold air intake set up.
I will let you know if there are any improvements on overall running and performance.
I have heard both postive and negatives of a running a 2g maf on a 1g due to the change in the timing tables if you do not have a eprom chip to compensate.
