what should 1g timing be?

ok my car has been reading at 2500 steady driving, around 60 5th gear, around 37 degs timing on my data logger, it was getting high knock counts but i did the timing belt and ignition timing on it today, the car runs alot better its stronger faster, i have timing set at 5 deg btdc, so is it normal to have my timing on my logger say 37-38 deg around 2500? no knock or anything car runs good.

You have little to nothing to worry about if you're under low load.

Yes, it's normal to have timing in the 30's with no load on the engine. This is what the timing curve should look like on your car with no load.

RPM: 750, 1000, 1250, 1500, 1750, 2000, 2500, 3000, 3500, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500, 7000
TIMING: 8, 13, 17, 23, 29, 36, 37, 38, 38, 39, 42, 43, 43, 42, 42, 42

ok cool thanks . i guess everything is ok and my timing was off when i bought the car.
