Should I Grab The AEM EMS ?

I got offered 400 for my S-AFC from a local guy and i also got an opportunity to buy an almost new AEM EMS for 1k. Should i sell my S-AFC and buy the EMS since i have this opportunity? BTW, there's a local shop around here that will help with the tuning.

I would say as long as you are willing to invest the time to tune it correctly, go for it If you have the opportunity, do it!

yeah take it and get another afc even if u dont. The new one is nice as hell.

The correct answer to "do I need a standalone engine management system" is almost always "no".

If you have to ask, you probably don't need it.

On the other hand, if you really meant "could I get an AEM EMS and have fun with it?", the answer is probably "yes". I'd be inclined to do a bunch of research first though.

But if someone is offering you $100 over retail for the S-AFC, take it. 8)

Thanks for the opinions guys The reason why I asked the question is because i don't really need a standalone right now since my car is running good with just the S-AFC and i was worried that all of the features in the AEM unit might be overkill for me. But i'd love to tune it a little better and get more power out of it. BTW, this guy is an idiot...he wants the SAFC just b/c it'll look cool in his car
