LC-1 and MMCD

I'm looking into getting a WBO2 in the near future, until I find one that I think is better for cheaper I'm leaning towards the LC-1. One interesting thing that it does is that you can program the 0-1V output to be linear.

If this is the case, then I can log the 0-1V and calibrate it to what I'm getting in the laptop for AFR, have my NB gauge on the dash be about as useful as a real WB gauge (you really can't use either to tune, just to look cool and turn red in an emergency), and keep the 0-5V open for logging boost.

From what I've read, because of the way the system works, not all WBO2's get their signal to the ECU in the same way (PLogger requires that you use pre-calibrated ones, or use their tech support to set it up for yours) so I'll need to be calibrating it to what the LC-1 reads out on a laptop with either 5V or 1V inputs.

Two part question, 1, if I set the NBO2 to linear, will the ECU not like it?

Second question, The MMCD seems to have a 10mv resolution for both the 0-1V NB input and the 0-5V EGRT input that you convert to WBO2. If the computer is OK with it, is the resolution I'm going to be loosing (.01V/1V vs. .01V/5V) significant enough to throw me off on AFRs?

I searched, but only come up with putting the WB into the 0-5V input.

Most widebands have a 0-1v simulated output and a true 0-5v output. get one with both and you should be able to make it work with your setup. IT's really not complicated at all and is very usefull, especially when you feed it to the ECU for it's closed loop operation since it's so accurate compared to narrow band units.

Great! How about the accuracy of 1v vs. 5v?

Just did a few calcs. If the sweep is from 8-22 AFR then that's 14 AFR points total. For the 5v, the maximum resolution is .028 (14AFR/5V=2.8, accuracy to .01V = .028) and the 1V is .14 AFR. Limiting the scope could help with resolution, but would also limit what I could log. Probably a good idea to stick with the 5V then?
