Here is what is going on. I go to leave work at 10pm and its pretty cold outside, go to start my car it doesnt want to start at first, however I got it to start after like 2-3min. At this point I am not sure why this happened, but figure maybe its just because it was really cold and my car runs on e85 (this being my first winter running e85).
So the next morning it wont start, just cranks over but makes no attempt to start, no sputtering, nothing. I decide to change the spark plugs to see if the other ones are fouled, and to see if it is flooded. So I change the bpr8es' to bpr7es' (only spares I had) and look in the cylinder but its not flooded and the old plugs are not wet. So I make sure I have spark, whch I do at all 4 cyl. but no fuel. I can hear the fuel pump come on, and I am getting 40psi of fuel pressure when cranking. So I leave the key in the on position, and pull out the CAS (cam angle sensor) and turn it with my finger. Here is where things get bizzare, when I turn the CAS with my finger I can hear the injectors clicking, turning on/off and I also have spark, BUT when I put the CAS back on the head and try to start the car, the injectors are not firing, but I still have spark! I pull the CAS off again and turn it by hand, and again I can hear the injectors clearly firing. Put it back on and the car starts for just a second as it burns the fuel now in the cylinder but quickly dies because the injectors are not firing! I do this I few times times trying to figure out it out. WTF is going on? Why will the CAS not signal the injectors to fire when its on the head but will when I turn it by hand??? Car has never before had issues starting.
Basics of my setup:
95 talon, 2.0 6bolt , dsmlink + maft, 1600cc inj, e85,
