Hello, ive searched for days on this with no satisfactory answers, so here i am.

First, my car is really rich under boost. No sputtering or anything like that, just a tiny bit of black fuel smoke @ wot and fuel smell when i come to a stop at an intersection. My mods are in my profile and im running 37.5 psi fp with vl off at idle. I have a properly calibrated and installed ngk wideband that tells me im at 9, to 9.3:1 afr at wot.
Im pretty anal about some things, and boostleak testing just happens to be one of them and i do this test at least twice per month and have no leaks to speak of, so i just dont get this.
With my stock eprom, 1g maf, 660cc injectors, i had my car rough tuned at -30 across on the safc. With a 2g mass, i dropped it to 20, but both these setups yielded the same rich afrs. I burned a chip with 2g maf comp, 660cc comp with 168 deadtime added over stock, and with this chip and the safc at -25 on the high map i was able to pull 11:1 afr at wot, however, shouldnt that be closer to around -14 to go from stock to 11:1? I know every car is different, but -25 is a lot imo.
So, i have this chip made by Wess Hess of Hess racing which i bought from a fellow member of this site. Not only is this chip set up for denso 660cc injectors and 2g maf, its also got a leaner wot fuel map set for 11:1 afr. Now, i do realize this would still obviously need some fine tuning, but ive got to go - 17 on the high map on the safc to achieve my 11:1 afr goal and thats just a little much imo.
I just dont see why im so rich at wot, it just sucks and im running out of ideas so if anyone can throw me some suggestions, id really appreciate it.

Thx, Charles:dsm:

Not to be a smart ass or anything but just ditch that chip and afc and get a dsmlink. Seriously, when I had my safc I couldn't get my car to run for the love of god. I had a Jeff O. chip with FIC 650's. I can only say from personal experience dsmlink is BY FAR way better then any safc and eprom chip will ever be. Also I just thought about this, what bov are you runing?

A hacked 2G MAS will cause the issues you are having. I know your chip is burned for DENSO injectors but are you using DENSO injectors?

Off topic - I didn't know there were in DSMs in North Florida. :thumb:

Yeah, denso 660cc injectors and no, the 2g maf isnt hacked at all actually, but i was thinking of hacking it to get in some unmetered air in order to reduce the amount of correction on the safc to achieve my desired afr. Any more suggestions?

Well, i was looking at the injector deadtime map in the Wess Hess chip ive got, and the deadtimes dont really make any sense to me. They read:9F 4E 26 19 11 0D 09, which to the best of my calculations is -240us from the stock deadtimes which were:A9 5830 23 1B 17 13. This is a bit strange since most people use +168us for denso 660cc injectors and it says right in the bin that its for denso 660cc. Anyone? Steve perhaps?

Well, I realize this is old, but Id like to make one last post to tell everyone what I did to solve my issues. Well, I never thought to take into consideration that Ive got -06 fuel line from pump to rail, which increases my fuel volume significantly. Once I thought of this, I slowly increased my injector global on the eprom and at 790cc global, my fuel trims have settled nicely, close to 100, and my wot afr is finally right where I want it at 11:1. Im so happy, and my idc is so low, at roughly 70% at 21 psi.

Thanks to everyone for their help on this.
