im healping my friend tune his dsmlink and its my first time tuning anything i have done a search under dsmlink and lean. first off here whats done to his car. bullseye 57 trim pte780cc injectors im not sure on his fuel pump which i may think is the cause of his problems. supporting mods. no afpr. we have the globel set at 38 as per the dsmlink forum. the car is running smooth and no counts of knock. as soon as he gets into boost is where the problems start. as soon as we get any positive boost pressure the a/f ratio begins to climb we using a aem wideband and by 5000rpms he hitting 16:1 where were shutting it down for fear of leaning the car out. i will try to get a log which we will be working on tomorrow and we will also be posting this on the dsmlink forum. i have trying adding fuel where we need it with no luck. any help would be appriciated so we can get this car back on the road

Sounds like the fuel pressure isn't tracking the intake manifold pressure. that may be from a bad fuel pressure regulator, a leaking connector between the pump and the pickup, a plugged fuel filter, or the fuel pump can't keep up.

First check would to be turn the fuel pump on and vary the pressure to the nipple on the FPR to make sure the pressure tracks your changes both by adding pressure or applying vacuum.

How much boost are you running? That turbo at like anything over 12psi will outrun a stock pump whcih is more then likely what's happening. Pull the pump assembly and find out if he has a stock pump or not before even trying to run the car again then from there you can start looking into other stuff.

i thought it was the pump he took it to extreme today to have it tuned and sean told him he needed a bigger pump so were putting in a 255 this weekend hopefully we can get a better tune in. he also had a check engine light that we fixed which was the blue/yellow wire(i beleive) that you have to cut for an afc which fixed the problem for the most part as we were getting a tops of 13.4 on the wideband before he took it to extreme
