TRE AFC same as S-AFC?

Ok guys I have the TRE MASC minus the hotwired MAF and adapter part. So basically the afc part.... my question is, will this allow me to do the same thing as a S-AFC will? I was going to sell this and buy an APEXI S-AFC, but if they do the same job then there is no point, plus the tre has an egt probe built into it.

Throw it away, it's pretty much useless and nobody else will want it. How did you end up with that? I hope you found it on the ground and didn't actually pay money for it.

batman, no it came with the car... due to the fact im a little short on money right now I was going to use it to modify the fuel curve a little and to keep track of my egts....

It's received bad reviews from those who have tried it and I believe TRE discontinued it.

my buddy has it. the airflow percentage fuel adjustment is really hard to get right. but it has been doing the job. he likes the LCD display more than anything, with boost, injector load, O2 voltage, and EGT's all on one screen. he's thinking about moving to an AEM EMS though. any other questions, don't hesitate. i've helped him tune with it extensively.

one more thing. if you don't have the directions for tuning with it, you'll need to disconnect the O2 sensor from the ECU so it's not fighting you as you are trying to change the values. good luck.

hey bj, actually i could use some help wiring it up to the 2nd gen ecu. Which wires connect to what? I think im mainly just goint to hook it up to be able to read egt, boost, and o2.... this way i dont have to buy the guages since im broke....

i sent you an e-mail. here's one of the wiring diagrams. it probably isn't what you're looking for, but i can get the rest of them if need me to.

yeah i kinda need the wires for O2... boost and egt have nothing to do with the ecu, and power and gnd are self explanatory... i just need to know which one to tap for o2 readings... since i have no desire to screw with the fuel curve using this device.....

i looked at the schematics and they are specific for the 1G. email Jon at TRE he'll set you up with what you need.
