Lemme tell you about my setup..........

I have a 2.2L Stroker 420A with JE 8.6:1 pistons, Eagle rods, Total Seal rings, etc. being built up for me right now. I have the HRC Stage 2 turbokit already also. Obviously when I put the built engine in I am gonna want to turn the boost up quite a bit. I was thinking somewhere between 15-17 psi on the street and 20+ at the track with race gas.

SOOOO........I was thinking about getting Accel 415cc injectors, but wanna know if I am making the right decision. How do I know which injectors to get? I want something that will flow enough fuel, BUT still be able to be leaned out enough with my S-AFC to not run pig-rich.

Any help would be awesome. Thanks :)

If you're going to be cranking the boost like that I wouldn't recommend anything smaller than 550's, 650's or 660's and an afpr would be your best bet! :)

I have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator which is good. Do you think that the 550cc and larger injectors will be able to be leaned out with an S-AFC? Wont my gas mileage suffer greatly?

Sorry, I am new to this so if my question seem kinda stupid, please bear with me. Thanks fo rthe help.:thumb:

OH do any of you know where a good place to GET some good and fairly priced injectors?

HRC says that the stock injectors on my car flow about 190cc. Doesn't jumping to a 550 or 650 seem quite drastic? I have run 11psi on my stock injectors for the past year and have been able to run rich without any problems. ANY suggestions? Do you still suggest 550's and higher? I do have an inmline fuel pump and and AFPR.

I dont know how much power you are making but I know what type of injectors a modified car requires. Stock DSM injectors are good up until the 240hp ish range on pump gas. If you are going to be making that much power or more than you will need the proper injector. There are formulas to answer this exact question you know. But I am almost postive that your stock injectors are larger than that. 190cc sounds WAY too small.

rdrkt, thanks for your response. I saw 190cc on HRC's site and on DSMTalk I saw them rated to 235cc. I also tend to believe they are larger than 190cc. Someone gave me a good calculator to calculate what size injectors I will need. thanks for the help.
