Where did my timing advance go?

only peaking 11 by redline? No boost leaks. Car seems to be running fine. O2 is telling me i'm rich so what the hell?

How much boost are you running on that log? I have a feeling you have a boost leak. Your 02 numbers although rich unless its sputtering/misfiring etc it should still have more timing going on then it does. Try boost leak testing it etc and see if your BOV is leaking at all as well.

Also after tuning with a wideband I would never tune narrowband again ever. I saw the light I could be pig rich still and my narrowband was saying lean so its useless really. Your going to have to pay most attention to your timing and see what makes it change for the better. Your timing indicates knock or leaks but your 02 indicates rich then at the uppers the numbers are decent.

I did do a boost leak test. Last weekend and only found a leak at the stock pvc valve sooo i disconnected it from the intake mani and run a catchcan setup now. I blocked off the nipple nice and tight. I have a feeling its my spark plugs. I did notice a hesitation when i pulled them and regapped them so i ordered new plugs. That was also last weekend. I hope prostreet sent them out in time. I want to go to the track tonight. We'll see when i get home from work. Also, i purchased an AEM wideband from a friend. I just find it weird how i'm rich, but my timing SUCKS.


that log was at 20psi. before anyone comments, check my modlist. i have sufficient mods to handle that much boost.

Its a tough call for me to make hopefully others will chime in. I mostly have WB tuning experience and its way easier. To me your knocking though your rpm band could be a back knock sensor or tuning.

Soooo i got my aem wideband installed tonight. ####in love it!!! I spent a good 4 or 5 days last week tuning my low throttle with the logger and afc and it turns out i did a pretty good job. Idle is at 15:1 and it hovers around 14:5 to 15:3 while cruising around. Here is the problem. I couple people were telling me i'm rich. WELL I'M VERY RICH. The aem only goes as low as 11:1 and as soon as i hit 85% throttle, the guage wont even register the ratio. God knows how low of an afr i have. The only thing that comes to mind is, i had to reset the ecu to install this baby. I only puts around for like an hour or so. Maybe my fuel trims are off and its just dumping fuel during WOT pulls to be on the safe side? I guess we'll see tomorrow. NO RAIN. i'll be at the track.
