car wont idle

Ok if not in the right area please move it thanks. Jay Ok problem is i got the car to start. But it wont idle under 2 grand. I had to put everything back together the people i got it from tore it all apart. I tried putting a new mass air on it. I made sure all the vacuum lines are on. Checked the firing order 20 times. And put in new plugs. if you give it gas it tries to die then revs up. Not sure how to explain it really. plus i took out the ecu to check the caps and everything is fine. thanks Jay

have you check the injectors? are they firing? at all? how is the Fuel pump? is that at good psi?

Mine did that when it was running freaking lean at idle or whenever i lowered the FPR too much. Might have a lack of fuel.

How is a way to check the psi. or check if the injectors are supplying the fuel right. Thanks Jay i was wondering you know how the car would run if the CAS is 180 off. Thanks

if its 180 off it would run.... just run like shit.. like its running on 2 cylinders. when your motor is up on tdc if you pull of the cas there is a dot on the part that rotates and a line around it or vice verca i forget BUT anyways there are 2 marks and they should line up, and if your standing on the pass side of hte car looking at the cas when the motor is on tdc themarks on the cas when you pull it out should point in ABOUT the 3 oclock position.

I think it is something with the fuel. I got new injectors a gas tank and filter and regulator to put on. THe messed up thing is let the car run and the cel never comes on. It does when you start the car like it supposed to but thats it. But thanks guys ill try to figure it out but ill let you know. thanks jay

did you check the throttle cable? If you put too much tension on it it will do that and I've had it happen before

nope cable is fine. I put in new fuel pump injectors and fuel filter and it idles at 2 and a half know. It was going up and down the car has me stupmed. I have no clue what is wrong with it. Thanks jay

WEll got the damn car running. It was the IAC on the throttle body. Ask a friend what could be wrong he said puit this on and see if it works and that was the problem. Runs fine know. So thanks guys for the help Later jay
