ok, I just installed a translator v2.0x in a 1g. (blowthrough) I hardwired it because I had a 2g plug. I have the 5 wires coming from the translator wired in as follows: red to pink, green/blue to green, green/black to brown, green/yellow to grey, green/orange to black. I'm fairly certain that it's wired correctly. I used the VFAQ for the 1g plug schematic, and a friends 1g plug to verify. Even still, if someone with a translator could take a peek at which wires line up at the plug, it would be appreciated. I have 660's & SAFC, the translator is zeroed, all 4 dip switches down. There are no coupler leaks and all of the plugs are snug.
The problem is that the translator LED's don't even light up at all when it is plugged into the GM MAF (upon startup). When it is unplugged from the MAF, the red LED is lit up (steady, not blinking) when the car is on, so I don't think it is a power problem. It idles like crap, as if the MAF isn't plugged in at all. (doesn't matter if it is plugged in or not, there's no change in the crappy idle) I don't think the car is getting a signal from the translator. vacuum is at maybe 8-10 psi when idling. I don't have a logger and it's also throwing a CEL.
Any help would be appreciated. thanks
