I just got my cables for my logger the other day and I hooked it up. Well....it doesn't work. I got the cables off of Ebay. I thought maybe it was the Hotsynch cable, but I hooked it up to my PC and it worked fine. I've double checked the connections at the port and from the logger cable to HS cable(through a gender changer). Any ideas or suggestions???? Could the port be bad???

So if I get a null modem plug it will switch pins 2 and 3? This will make it work?

Who the hell knows :) It should if the cable is any good. Why did you buy the PC version?
I hate the eBay logger cables because half of them are junk, which is really hard to do considering how simple they are.

Thanks Steve!! I ordered a null modem plug today.....wait and see I guess.

"Just a possbility but if you have the power wire plugged into the wrong fuse slot it won't work."--------there is no power wire on mine, just the 3 that plug into the ALDL.

I dont know what the hell he is talking about with the power wire myself, but steve is right. I have a pc cable(use to use pc for logging) but when I got a palm, I had to get a null modem adaptor and it worked fine afterwards.

There are two major types of logger cables, active and passive. The active ones need external power to drive the level shifting circuit. Passive cables don't have a power connection, they rely on the computer serial port to accept the non-standard signals.
