WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT THE CAR I TOOK IT TO THE TRACK AND PULLED A 16.4. AFTER THESE MODS A CAN ONLY GET IT DOWN TO A 15.6
I HAVE A SHIFT KIT FOR THE TRANNY THAT NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED AND A VENOM FUEL RAIL AND WAITING FOR SOME EXTRA CASH FOR THE 750CC RC INJECTORS AND 255 LPH FUEL PUMP. I ALSO JUST BOUGHT A 1 GN TURBO SETUP (CAME WITH TURBO O2 HOUSING AND EXHAUST MANIFOLD)

SO MY QUESTION IS MY CAR NOT RUNNING RIGHT OR TUNED RIGHT IM RUNNING 17 POUNDS OF BOOST
ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED AND HERE IS MY LATES TRACK TIME

THIS WAS AT PORTLAND INT. RACEWAY LAST NIGHT 75 DEGREES OUTSIDE WITH HEADLIGHT REMOVED FOR INTAKE 92 OCTANE WITH FULL INTERIOR :dsm:

From the looks of it, you are not tuned very well, or you could have a boost leak. I would check that first. I think with those mods you should be in the low 14s or high 13s. My friend with a 2000 Civic Si, :barf: , ran a 15.78 with a bunch of mods, so something is def. wrong with your car. Also maybe do a compression check.

Your times are normal for an automatic car. You will always be a second behind a manual trans car with the same mods untill you buy a high stall convertor. Stop wasting your money on fuel rails you don't need and save for a convertor. 750's are overkill for a 14B.

2800rpm torque converter, shift kit, and alto end clutches, should do perfect on your car with that you you should definately be on the 13's

ok well i just recirculated my bov back into the intake and set my afc to rre's eclipse tech site and it seems to be a little better. had to up the fuel between 3-4000 rpm since it was hesitating. my question is what size injectors should i get i plan on using a 18g turbo later this summer and want to use the 14b untill i can afford it

How are you launching your car, I pulled a 15.2 on stock everything.

a 2.3 60 foot is not very good for a GSX. I don't have any experience with automatics, but did you try to power brake it a little before you launched it?

First off, sell that venom fuel rail or see if you can get your money back, you wont need that for a long time(maybe never). Second 3 inch exhaust is a little much for a t25, maybe too much for the 14b too. Third dont use the exhaust parts off a 1g, that is one of the few things you 2g guys have better than us 1g guys. Port out the exhaust manifold and o2 housing(free). Fourth do what slow_talon said and get that torque converter and end clutches as well as the shift kit you got and put them in. And last but not least, unless you are trying for 11 second time slips then the 750's and 255lph(with a 190lph you wont need a fuel pressure regulator) is overkill. 650's will be plenty. Also you can use the money you get back for that expensive fuel rail to help buy these other things you really need.

im launching my car at 3200-3500rpm it wont take any more because it wont stay still at any higher of rpm i have the shift kit and will order the clutches tommorow but the trans shop says they wont install them unless i do a complete rebuild because my car has 92000 miles without a trans rebuild. I really want my car to do high 11,s - low 12's thanx to everyone for the info so far

ok i put a greddy 24v fmic in last week and adjusted me safc and got a 15.2 at the track last night i installed the 14b i had layin around and will hopefully get injectors and pump in for this weekend at the track
thanx for the help guys

ps were can i get a pocket logger?

If you need help tuning you can give me a call any time. I am in the Portland area and have a 2g logger and have tuned many 2Gs.

there's a local guy with an a/t wrx that is hitting 12s on an 18g (can't remember his last run), i'm sure he'd be a good source for advice about what an auto needs to go fast. pm me if you're interested and i'll try to find his email for you
