ive recently come by what sounds like a good deal on a slightly used tec 3 engine management system any positives or negatives on this system that anyones heard of does anyone even use them on 4g63's the guy says the computer is a plug and play type thing but from what ive seen theyre all universal ecus

They are universal it will not plug into your harness in any way. You'll need a wiring harness, all sensors are GM,and an ignition system. I have all TEC3 stuff on my car and none of it is original. It's a great system(once it's tuned)but it is trickey to get it tuned. I'm close but still not there yet.

theres no way you can get the mitsu ignition to work? regardless for 150 bucks its worth gettin huh

for 150 bucks buy it and then sell it to me for 200
then i can sell it on honda-tech for like 1000
and we both make money
LOL

after more research on the subject the tec3 does seem to be damn picky as to which sensors it uses, damn trigger wheel and shit, the coils arent really a problem if theres no way to use the mitsus i got 4 or 5 of them layin around at work but ive never seen a 2 coil cradle for the coils other than the ones electromotive sells that is, i was thinkin just sell the thing and buy a haltech

150$ BUY it
yes you need a DFU, crank sensor and wheel
dose it come with a wire harness or do you have to but a new one

that price is a steal I payed 2,200$ for my electromotive
but it's the shit
GPO's
can control boost
awsome ignition

I say get it and if you need to but extra parts so what!
it's not that expensive
down side it's not plug and play some one has to wire it up and dyno tune it for you
www.phantom-motorsports.com is were I got mine from he carries tec3r stuff and can get you what ever you need or are going to be missing.

actually according to what the guy says its already wired for my engine although itll still have to be legthened the guy im gettin from works for one of these companies that builds these little honda powered tubular framed mud trucks or rock climbers and apparently they used some 4g63s in 2 or 3 of em theyre gettin rid of all their tec3s and using a different system the tec3 doesnt hold up to water well apperently, been frying a few of em
