1g in a 2g Stutters at like 2.5 grand RPM

I know that some questions are like mine. But some of them i see get no answers. Well heres the problem the engine was reguilt new everything and Turbo. when it takes off its fine then i shift into any gear and let it run at a little over 2 grand and then it starts to stutter and sounds like a misfire. I then shift out of gear and let it fall below 2 grand and then accelerate past 3 grand and its fine but it cant below 3 or else it will start to stutter and wont accelerate very good. Any help would be nice and i am sorry if the question has been answered.

mine does the exact same thing, and I didnt get any answer either. have you checked for boost leaks? I am biulding a tester right now but havnt checked yet. Ive already checked everything else wires, plugs, fuel pump, did some logging, im hoping its a boost leak.
Try different throttle acceleration runs. If you accelerate slowly, ie no boost, does it not do it? and does it get worse if you boost more? if so its probably a boost leak.

I havent done a boost test because honestly i dont know how. Right now i am in the process of changing the ignition coil and i changed the plugs and the wires and next i am going to check the ignition timing. Let me know how it goes with the boost leak test. Because maybe thats my problem. The acceleration is fine from the take off but when it sits at a certain rpm starts to stutter.

mine was a big boost leak. my j_pipe between the turbo and ic was jiggly. Now it runs perfect. Check all hoses, and do that boost leak test. Mine was soo loose i couldnt even pressurize my intake system.

I know that vfaq has a boost leak tester.. I made one and it works wonders.

I also have this problem. I have a headgasked that is FUBAR

I also saw that someone had this problem and he fixed it by cleaning the carbon off the top of the piston through where the sparkplug is... I am not sure if this is a fix... I am just saying what worked for him. I am haveing my head cleaned and a new hg put in.

I will let you know if any of that fixes it. I tried everything but it when I took the head off it was still doing the studder. my .02
