i am planning to get a logger for my 2g. do any one think i should get one? can i get some pros and cons about it ? and which one should i get?

i recommend getting it. You can pull check engine light codes right away and see whats wrong with ur car. You can see how your fuel trims r, if u r runnin rich or lean. You can check ur o2 sensor voltages so u kno if your o2 sensors are bad. Basically its well worth it if u like to stay on top of shit which is the key to keeping ur dsm on the road. There are other features. I recommend the one from pocketlogger found at http://www.pocketlogger.com/index.php?pid=obdii

Cheers

what is the difference between pocketloggers.com and dsmloggers.com? All i found in my research is that they both have the feature, but dsmloggers sells the whole kit ready to go with the palm m100 for $160. And pocketlogger sells it in parts. Which is just too much hassel for me. So i was thingking of getting the dsmlogger now. If anyone have any negatives on the dsmlogger please post soon, because i want the best.

I had never seen dsmloggers.com before but after looking at there site they don't give you all that much info and there graphs and such are unpolished compared to the pocketlogger and look..well a little cheesy.

If you want my opinion, get a pocketlogger.

im gettin a logger from dsmloggers.com soon ill let ya know how it works, im meeing up with the guy that owns it and hes going to show me it and shit in person.

I decided to go with the dsmloggers.com color kit, I HIGHLY recommend getting the color upgrade. You can see the ups/downs easier and the different colors of the graph. Its also much clearer. It works great, its a lot of fun to use. It just takes a little while to learn how to use, and to figure out how to get the logs onto the computer. But ive only had it for 2 days and Ive mastered it now, its fun to watch your intake air temp, timing, fuel trims, coolant temps, and a whole lot of other things while you drive. You can even have it display MPH in digital which is kinda cool. I just leave it hooked up to my car on "monitor" so it doesnt log but just displays info as you drive. Its a great kit. Also, there are a lot of awesome games for the color palm that keep you busy during Math class. ROFL

sweet thanks for the info man, perhaps ill go with the color then. Did you actually see the B&W?

Coming from ELM323-based loggers like the digitool and scantool.net's logger, I can say that the pocketlogger was FAR superior, in terms of speed and better software. Better customer service as well. Hope this helps.
