Which wire do i connect to?

I have the AutoMeter A/F gauge and have no clue which wire i connect the purple one from the A/F to. It says in the booklet to hook up to the signal wire. One said that is was a gray wire and one said that it was a white wire. anyone hooked one up before? which wire do i need to sauter into? help me out here. Please help out here.

connect all 3 wires into the ECU. Red to power, Black to ground and Purple to O2.

just follow the diagram below and u should have no problem at all. Make sure you hook up the correct wires though.
