I tried to do a couple of logs last night and the logger will not stay connected for anything...I had someone hold it and make sure all the cables were in good and it still would lose connection even at idle when we knew nothing moved.

Anybody have this problem before?

You must have a broken clip then, because its supposed to clip on. Make sure you have it clipped and have the power connected and if it wont stay, then you have some problem with the diagn port clip...

Yeah it will clip on but loses connection while clipped...except today I had it working for about 2 minutes and then hit "Go" to log and it said "Fatal Exception" and had a reset option. None of the buttons would work so I took the batteries out and it lost the download. What kind of a problem does this sound like? A program error? Palm error?

Thanks

Oh boy.... i just went through the same thing! Mine stays connected fine, i guess you must have been talking about the actaul program connection. I cant help you with that, youll hae to speak with digital tuning. I pulled my batteries out to change them and started it back up and the program was completely lost! It took about a week to get it back up and running, it sucked...

Hehe...I figured it was something big, just my luck. I reinstalled the files last night and all went well but still have to see if it'll work on the car.

Thanks for helping

hell i can't even get my logger to start.. press go it starts then it says lost connection with ECU. checked everything and its hooked up tight. anyone got any ideas?

Yea well mine was connected one night and was working greaet, hte next day it tells me the dsm software isnt registered, what the hell is that all about?! I have to re-register now or something??

Novtec1 ~ That's the same thing mine keeps saying. I had it working great for about and hour and then it would just lose connection. I know everythings hooked up too. PITA!

I know from last night that it takes it a couple minutes to lose everything. If you take your batteries out and put new ones in right away it should keep memory.

I had to re-register too when I reset it..make sure you don't lose that number!

got the answer....was told by the tech guy @ digital tuning to ensure you are on a constant 12v source. ad your sample rate is higher than a 2... so im goona rewire it and see if it works.OMG
