I know on a 2g you use the timing to determine if you are knocking or not, I have a B16g on the stock sidemount and the timing increases as the rpms rise. At 6500 rpms the timing reads at about 16-18?

As long as the timing rises smoothly then your not knocking, If the timing ever stays the same or decreases these are signs of knock.
