I have been doing many 3rd gear pulls trying to get my car tuned
in. And I am starting to get the hang of it, but I do have a few
questions though.
1. How much does air temp outside effect things, for instance is
this time of year a bad time to be tuning my car because of the cold
nights?
2. During some of my pulls the car will feal like it slows down or
even like I am hitting the breaks a little and then it will pick
back up. This fealing is very slight and happens more than once
during a pull. I am wondering if this is what it may feel like when
the engine sees knock and pulls timing. Has anyone else experienced
this or know what I am talking about?
3. If O2 volts are so unreliable, why even look at them. Should I
just be looking at rpm's and timing?
4. Last one, I was told to use my time stamps on my logger to
see if I am getting any faster which seems like a great way to tell,
but I cant figure out how to get the time stamps. So anyone that
uses Palm & stein to log can you help me. The only way I can even
see time stamps is in digital playback mode and it wont let me take
it frame by frame, just start to finish really quick.
Thanks for all your help so far.
