Did this pull this morning, it felt the best out of all the tuning i did, so i'm posting these numbers. For some reason, it will pull strong all through third gear, then i shift and when i start to hit the gas in fourth-it started bucking. I later did a 4th gear pull and it pulled strong without hesitation, it's like it only happens when i shift from 3rd to 4th and try to keep accelerating. Anyways, here is the log. Give me your perspectives and opinions on what direction I need to go in with my tuning. Any advice is welcome.

well, I got back to my house, re-shot my timing and checked my fuel pressure. I think the problem with the cut out was that my fuel pressure was set at 43psi w/ the line off. I dropped the bi*** back down to 38psi where it was supposed to be. Shot the timing, it was at about 10* base. I turned it back to base 5*. Cranked the boost up to 19psi now. Did a 3rd gear pull and holy crap, 0 knock- and hauled ass through third and fourth gear with no studdering.

I turned my boost controller up 1.5 turns, so i should be sitting at about 20-21psi now. This morning I'm gonna go do some more pulls and see what numbers i get.

I was gonna say, that looks like a lot of timing. It must pull like an SOB.

I know this is a bit OT. But i noticed you were still on stock internals! How long has that been holding up, how many miles? I've seen quite a bit of 1g's running stock internals with huge setups like the 50trim that you have. Of course your 6 bolt and im 7 bolt so im not sure how much thats gonna come into factor. But none the less, good log. Glad you got the knock fixed up :thumb:

edit: just noticed your timing on those logs, thats insane to have that much :|

With your set up you should be able to run 21-22 psi on pump with no problems. Like everyone said that timing was very high, high enough to blow a head gastket if your not careful, but it sounds like you got that under control.

As he said earlier, his base timing was set at 10 degrees and he put it to 5 degrees. His timing will go down a bit. Post another log with higher boost, I'm interested.

I will go out this morning when i get off work. I work mids and sleep all day. I turned the boost up a tad, so i should be around 20-21psi. I don't really care if the stock head gasket blows. I am just going to run it until it does. I have ARP studs and a new metal HG waiting to go in it once it does blow. I'm just not going to do the work when it's still good.

I will post the log results on this thread when I get back. I'm also curious to see how it looks.

Well, I went out this morning and it turns out that 1.5 turns on the boost controller put me at 24psi. So I said Fu$# it and logged it anyways. I got only 1 count of knock two times during the entire duration of the 3rd gear pull. It pulled like a mo' fo' too. I think my tps might be a tad loose, it isn't what it was maxed out in the other log. Looks a lot better. Here are the numbers at 24psi on my 50 trim....and the stock head gasket didn't blow yet, dang it!!! LOL!! Oh yeah, I took my buddy for a ride to show him how it felt at 24psi and I got pulled over cuz i launched from a stop light. Cop didn't ticket me though, I think cuz i told him I was in the military. Cool as hell. :thumb:

Well, I ended up maxing out my wot knob on lean and then started turning the base knob leaner. I am up to 2 clicks leaner on the base. I am still not getting any knock. I put it on 3 clicks lean and i'm gonna go see what it does today. I must have been running really rich.

We'll see. I'll post the findings.

Yes, that is probably why you had so much timing in the first place. My car was doing the same thing. After I bought my wideband I tuned it for A/F ratio and now my timing is around 18 when I get on it, and goes to about 23 or so. I am running 20 psi on a GT3255. Stock block also, but with Mits.metal head gasket and ARP. These things are pretty fun when you start turning up the boost. :thumb: I want to get as much as I can out of it on 92 pump.

Yeah, I'm running pump 93 octane. I went one more click leaner on the base knob. Still no knock. Damn I must have been and am still rich. Gonna keep on leanin her down until i get it right.
