Princeton,
I have an early 95 talon, does that mean I'm still on eprom and what does that mean???

can I tune my car with the dsm link(fuel and spark?) or is it just a logger,, can I do it as well as with a afc?
Which wirring pattern should I use, 1g or 2g
dsm link should I get the one for 1g or 2g
anyone run the greddy e mangement? can I run it? is it good?

just looking for a good setup for my car, probably not going to run crazy boost, but a decent amount, I have a laptop already so that cost is not a problem. just wondering if dsmlink is good, but it seems like the tried and tested way is an afc and pocket logger.

Sorry if I sound like an idiot, just don't want to order the wronge parts.

If you have a 95 it should have an eprom ecu. Just check the sticker on it and it should have a little E in the corner. This means that your fuel and timing "programs" are on a seperate chip than everything else which allows the dsmlink guys to install one that can be reprogrammed.
The dsmlink is awesome, in my opinion way better than the afc if you KNOW what you're doing. It allows you to tune for larger injectors and change your timing as well as log a vast amount of information. And as far as i know, they only offer it for the 2G.
Sorry but i don't understand your wiring question.

Just because you have an early 2g doesnt me an you have an Eprom ecu. pill the ecu and look for a bold E on the label.

As for tuning equipment. The Pocketlogger/ AFC combo does a very good job;however, it doesn't allow you to tune your ignition curves. It also has a price that can't be beat( i got mine for a lil over $200). lastly it small.

the DSMlink has many for features than the the previous. you have far more control over you cars parameters, but it does cost quite a bit more, it does require a laptop, and it is more bulky.

Bottom line you need to know how far you wanna take your build up. If you wanna just run low 12's stick with the pocketlogger. If you are shooting for 10's get the DSMlink.whatever you get you will be satisfied.

I don't know about 10's seeing as how dsmlink says, "For the record, we have seen 11.5 in the quarter using an unmodified 2G MAF and DSMLink. " However, i must agree that which ever one you get, you will be satisfied with.
Later,
Keith
