Apex Super AVC-R Boost Controller

Anyone have a Apex Super AVC-R Boost Controller? I'm thinking of getting one and wanted some input(good or bad).

I had one for awhile on my old car. This thing is such a gigantic pain in the ass. Getting it set properly will take a lot of highway runs to get the duty cycle set properly. Then when I finally did get it set somewhat right I realized that I really wasn’t making enough power (300 ish to the wheels) to warrant taking boost a lot of boost in first and second. I was much happier with my extreme mbc its what I have on my current car. If you really want a dual stage boost controller I would recommend the manual unit from turbo xs.

Why do you have your heart set on an ebc? A $50 manual boost controller will work 10x better and you will never have to fiddle with it. Think how far that 350 bucks that I saved you will go .

saved $350, not really... now you'll still need gauges and pods to mount them in... but not with the ebc... yes it's cheaper, but not by enogh for me... plus i don't want gauges all over the car... just depends on if you have the money!

Greddy Profec B is a good EBC if you want an EBC.. some of us prefer to be able to switch the boost inside the car like myself

i agree with larry but ,isent Greddy Profec B limited to 22psi ? or some thing like that

it may be.. i noticed on the dyno last week I cant seem to get more then 20psi for some reason..

if you have an adjustable wastegate like the Mutt turbo have you can get more than 23 psi out if a profec B
