WTB Clean DSM wanted

Hey guys I've just turned 16 and love driving! But my mothers lancer fwd just ain't doing it for me. I need something faster. I'm looking a dsm any gen gsx or gst
My price range? $15000 and no there's no extra zero 15k
It needs to have under 60000 miles
Needs to be in good shape. And by good I mean next to perfect
I would like it to be either stock or tuned professionally
Also it needs to run very nice with maintenance done
NO PROJECT CARS!!!
Remember these are needs/ wants

Gen: 2nd
Drive: awd
Color: white
Transmission: manual
Interior: leather/pleather

Good luck to find a DSM under 60,000 miles. If you were to buy a DSM, since being new to the game, what are your future plans? Keeping it stock and clean or start modding? OR you can buy my gsx with 48K miles haha

+1 on that. Very rare. And 300-600hp is a huge range. Sounds like you just want a nice clean daily driver that's reliable with power potential. IMHO sounds like an evo.

I'm guessing you're either a stock broker who recently made a big hit playing the market, you've been mowing lawns in your neighborhood every summer since 1987 and saving every dime you made, or one of your parents is buying the car for you. I have a strange feeling it's the latter.

Here's a tip if your parents are reading- a $15,000 DSM should never be a daily driver for a 16-year-old. The market value for a late-90's 2G in exceptional shape is around $6,500 or $7,000- if you want to insure a $15,000 DSM for it's full face value, this will require collector car insurance. Collector car insurance would never permit such a car to be daily-driven by a teenager....and as soon as they find out, they would terminate the policy. Unfortunately, this tends to happen after a collision occurs and the police report shows who was driving...in which case the policy would be dropped and you're out $15,000 plus you'd be at risk of being sued god forbid anyone be seriously injured. Keep in mind this is possible for any insurance claim, even if someone were to hit you.

That in mind, we can look at this two ways....you can buy a car like an Evo that is still worth $15,000 and drive that so you're not out anything in the event of a crash that would total the car, or you can cut back and spend $10,000 on a really nice 2G then use the remaining $5,000 to buy yourself a reliable daily driver and save the DSM for the weekends or special occasions.

Trust me, you're at a point in life where a stock turbo car will get you in trouble on a regular basis....save the 600hp monsters for later in life when you get a little more driving experience.

But with the cost of living going up, maybe so did the cost of mowing someones yard as well?...

Yeah those miles are original, but to think I would sell my car to you when I worked hard for my money when I was 17. HA. I could never sell my all stock DSM to a kid that would rape my car to shreds with mods. You should take your mom's money and join the group of EVO elitist kids

Now if your truly are interested in modifying cars and need a first car then buy a broken down cheap DSM that needs some lovin'.

Thanks for the feed back. And if your wondering I just had some money and started investing around when I was 7. So my dad said he would put some money in and I have my 10k. So yea. And about the evo, it's nice but insurance will kill you.

It isn't that bad. I was quoted for 490 a month for an evo when I just turned 18. But i started looking around then i found that if you have a clean record eire insurance is really cheap. they quoted me 290 full coverage on an evo. I you have a comany like state farm you will be paying 200+ for a gsx even with minimal coverage. I was paying 150 for my 1990 gsx when i was on my parents plan. Now i have eire with 3 dsms and my 2005 gli i am paying 280. I am still 18 btw and the jetta has full coverage.
