FREE BEER!! Near zip 13901? (NY) Just help a DSM'er!
So this female DSM'er I have known for a while now is still trying to get her GST put together.
The car is almost finished, it just requires a little putting together. Not at all difficult. I would do it myself but I'm nowhere near there.
Here is how it sits now:
Some of you may recognize the paint. Yes, it is the 3g Eclipse paint.
As you can see, some assembly required. The last people to work on it were worthless bastards.
Any help at all would be awesome.
Thanks for reading,
-Sebba

I believe the transmission and engine are already in.
It needs the brakes bled, the clutch bled, some interior parts to be put back in. I think it also needs a couple small things like a battery tray.
Just little odds and ends.
Payment for gas could be arranged too.

Seriously, this project has been ongoing for over a year now. So as soon as possible.
Just so I know, how experienced are you with DSM's?

^Same here.
Doesn't sound like there's much left to do that's hard. Does she not have the knowledge or just no time?

She simply doesn't have the knowledge.
If beer does not interest you, I'm sure alternate payment could be arranged.
90redtalontsi, thank you very much I will get back to you.

Basically it was owned by a moron that destroyed the car, and she is in the process of restoring it.
That is awesome that you are so close! Are you able to lend a hand?

Okay, here is a bombshell I wasn't initially aware of.
So the car is no longer in a storage unit. It is now located at 444 Court Street, Binghamton, NY. It is sitting on the side of a used car lot with all the parts locked inside it.
I could have it moved to a garage some place or anything. If someone has access to a tow truck that would work too.

If all fails for place to work on it if we throw my wheels back on my 2g and we finish it up in a day I might have a place for us to work on it but only as a last resort. Because it would have to be at my work

So far here is a list of things I know of that need doing. Anyone feel free to add.
Clutch lines bled
Brakes bled
Timing checked
Timing belt evaluated, and if old/bad it would need to be changed (parts supplied)
Transmission fluid flushed
Oil/filter changed
Possible MAF wiring needed.
Upper and lower rad pipes.
Possibly oil cooling system isn't there. I don't remember.
Loads of interior parts need to be done.
Front bumper put on
Tested for boost leaks
Then all started up and check for problems etc...
What ever needs to be purchased, that can all be taken care of.

Thanks to all that contributed to this thread. I really hope something gets started.
As a last resort, I have arranged for the car to be assembled at a shop for a price. I would like to avoid that if possible though.
Thanks again.

I spoke to the guy on the phone, and it seems like he knows his stuff.
But yes, it will probably be some retarded amount.

At this moment in time, 90redtalontsi, boostin92awd, and Trav83, have all agreed to chip in and get the car running.
I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for contributing this thread, and especially thank those that have offered their time. This is why I love the DSM community.
Thanks again.
