How much are you looking to spend? I can do it, and I'm 25 minutes outside or Pittsburgh, near Irwin/Monroeville, etc.

Honestly, I don't even know how much to spend, but money is pretty tight. I tried searching and saw that Mitsubishi charges upwards of $400 and I don't have that much to spend.

Not sure, that's just what I saw on the boards, and it doesn't say, but I'm guessing that is just the labor

Get your parts together and go see Jesse. I can vouche for him he knows what he's doing. Slowboy sells complete kits for $220 and it comes with all new Mitsu tensioners, pulleys, and belts or you could just go to Autozone and get just the belt but I would recommend the whole kit.

Hmmm, thinking of doing this to my car here in a few months as the belts look new now, but you can never trust a dealer. Good to know someone fairly local knows what they're doing in case I run into problems.

Im trying to get my timing belt changed on this eclipse, and have tried contacting Coup D' Etat with no response yet. Anyone know of someone or someplace that does this??? I really want to get this done ASAP because I took my timing belt cover off to check the belt, and there are tiny cracks in it. Thanks.

If you were asking about this 2 years ago and you haven't changed it out by now I really hope you get on doing it asap cause your belt is gonna go on you and it's gonna be well over $1000 of damages.

No, I sold that eclipse, tried leaving the DSM world, but was sucked back in and had to get another one.

Timing Belt
I need to change mine also. The dealership here in Albany NY just quoted me $1400 for parts and labor! Wow, a few months ago they said $750. What gives? Anyway, I am also interested in a good shop locally. Would do it myself but I can only work on it one day a week and am not comfortable leaving the engine on jack stands that long.

I may be able to get a hold of Coup D E'tat if you absolutely need. He lives right around the way, and he is very reliable... I'm not too sure if he'd be up to it anymore (he's out of DSMs as far as I know).

That's right around the corner from me... How'd they do? I see more domestic big motors down there than imports. Besides the Hyundai that was there for just about forever...
Did they already do the work? There is a few guys around PGH that know DSM's and have reasonable rates... be glad to throw names out if you still want to shop the price. (ignore if it's already done)

I'll do your timing belt no problem. I'm in williamsport, pa. If you supply the parts i'll charge $100 for labor . And i've done it dozens of times on my evo/dsm's. Between all the motor building and maintenance. So lmk, my pm box is waiting.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I got it done at A.S.A.P. They were real good guys there, calling every couple of hours just to let me know how everything was going along with letting me know that my balance shaft belt was just laying in the back of the engine bay, and that I had a bad motor mount which they replaced for $30. Grand total was $650, done in a day.
