Ok...i took some pics to clarify what I was talking about...in hopes to get some type of response
The "goofy" cam gear I speak of is the DOHC 4g64 Intake Cam Gear...Shown below as the right Cam Gear
On the CAM gears (at least on 4g63 set-ups) they have a ring/seal (shown in the pic below) that goes on where the cam gear meets the camshaft.
the problem that I am running into it that on the Intake Cam Gear, where normally the ring/seal would sit on a standard 4g63 cam gear...There is a protruding peice of the gear itself that forms a ring. And unlike what I've heard (that you can use all gaskets and seals from a 4g63 engine gasket kit...except for the HG) appears that either you need a 4G64 DOHC intake SPECIFIC cam gear ring/seal or you dont use one at all. It looks like if you used a larger ring the it wouldn't be able to insert properly and sit in the head.
So the questions are...Do you use one? Do you use a specific 4g64 DOHC ring/seal? Or Am retarded and you use the standard 4g63 ring/seal and I'm just not putting it in right.
Thanks for your attention...now I'm going to wipe the brain matter from the screen.
