Hey guys,

I just bought a 97 tsi. It's my first forced induction car so I'm a little intimidated. I do most of the work on my cars with the help of a friend of mine who has a shop but when it comes to performance mods on a turbo car, neither of us are well educated. So, long story short I'll be taking this car to a shop for mods more often than I usually do.
Is there anywhere in our area you would suggest?

If your friend has a shop - a lot of the bolt on mods can be easliy done by both of you. The more important thing is to use quality parts instead of ebay junk. Look at the resources offered on this website such as the upgrade path. You will notice that it doesn't require a specialist when it comes to most of the stage 1 and 2 upgrades.

let the local guys help!! get on gdsm. i could also help do mods. im looking for extra cash to pick up another 90 awd i have a lot of experience and i know other ppl who can do what i cant

Hi I am Rob I live in the Springfield area in Illinois. I am also a first time dsm owner with a 97 gst. I bought this car in a real mess. Need a little help. I put a new pt in and got it running, now that I'm drive it leans out and is also super rich in gas. When I'm in a gear and want to pick up speed as soon as its boost it leans out almost to dentition. I have a s-afc in car and looks plugged in right. Help
