Hi I recently purchased a 97 talon heavily mods on the car, reverse is giving me trouble. It will go into gear 1-5 but reverse is a no go 98 percent of the time. The guy I got I from seemed to think ot was a linkage issue, he said it had some slack in it. If I shift to 5th then try reverse it will not go into reverses slot. If I shift to any other gear it will go into the slot bit not engage into reverse. It will grind little then stop, then start to wine. I have no idea what is going on with it, this is my first with all of this.
