Did you know that the 420A chrysler motors use champion spark plugs not ngk still have the original manual the car came with.hope this is helpfull to more lurkers.i just swaped out my ngks for champions i used the parts number on the manual, now my car runs stronger and smoother in acceleration, it says ngks are for the 4g63 motors. if you got a N/T 420A give it the champion challange and tell me it didnt make a difference.

Yes they are oem plugs. I'm happy your pleased with the plugs, but I highly doubt it made a measurable difference. NGK makes plugs tailored to your motor too. If there was a difference to be made, you would of had a CEL on for a misfire more than likely previously. :thumb:

NGK BKR-6 for non-turbo, gapped to .045ish
NGK BKR-7 for turbo, gapped to .028-.030

Placebo effect is in practice here.

i will give it a try on my next tune-up give it the ngk challenge, But have you tryed the champion plugs?well i will try the gapping on ngk to see how they run what kind of wire set do to you recomend with ngks

4g's don't play well w/ anything other than ngks. On my bike, it had champions, and I switched to ngks due to the champions fouling often. Now I can go my 5000 scheduled miles before a change w/ no fouling.

I'm not advocating either way for your 420a, jsut saying, you feel what you want to feel. If you think foods bad, you'll get sick. When you stayed home and play hooky back in school and kept saying your sick, you ended up feeling sick. Mind over matter. Want to justify spending $ on plugs? just tell yourself its faster..

i guess it all depends on what mods you got on your car i dont have no crazy mods just the basics so that prob why it works well with my car Not sure what i gained but i have the champions gapped to .40 and i got better throttle response and torque from 3000 rpm to 7000 rpm range there are upgrade champions those are the ones i got installed

I just put ngk in my car. I run ngk exclusively in my bikes, cars and trucks. I w as wondering what my stock gap was supposed to be. I run .032 gap on my plugs.

Next we'll be saying the pulstar plugs are good for 5% more power.

thats why i posted(FOR ALL THOSE 420A Chrysler motors ONLY not sure about Mitsubishi) im not saying i gained alot of horsepower but the car runs different in a good way and i wasent giving this info for 4g's anyway cause you guys cant use them not sure if you guys ever have used them you guys in whole different catagory, use the sh*t out your ngk's for all i care, it was just a suggestion for 420A N/T when i join the turbo family then ill see how it runs with champions but for now thier working better then NGK's, dont judge them if you havent tryed them, and im not saying try them in your bikes in your 420A motors.
