need help 1996 rs

i need to ask a question . I have choices i can rebuilt my motor or i can buy a swap . the rebuilt will codt me 1300 or i can pay 2000 for a swap . i love my car it been sitting for 2 years . but now i am coming into $3000 by next month . one other thing should i drop the gas tank and empty it out since it has been sitting so long . if someone in so-cal can help me it would be great .

If your getting a swap would it still be the 420a motor or would it be the one in an gst/gsx?

Option A: if its the motor that comes off a gst/gsx i would go for the swap. If i came into that situation i would swap it i know how much i love my "Ladybug" but again thats my OPINON!!

Option B: get the rebuild for 1300 and buy turbo parts you would have $700 left to buy them. Im Comparing those two options only though

i just want to go with 420a for now i just want to drive it again . been driving a v8 and the gas is killing me . and about every other month i will do a upgrade on it .

I would rebuild it and save as much cash as possible. And i only make $1200 or so a month with bills to pay with a part time job. So i would save! Take her nice and slow but not to slow . Is it your daily?

Its going to be . the shop that did my work messed it up and I could not take it back because it was my only car at at the time . everyone in my family said to sell it, junk it, part it out,: .I was like hell no that may baby she will be on the road again !!! and the time has come !

well it was a good for me i found a salvage yard in san bernardino . That had 2 eclipse's and I i got the parts I been needing for a long time . hatch cover, tire cover, the console with a arm rest , and a back panel . If you are look for parts the one car has a lot on it still j.r auto salvage 909-889-1400

new update I just switch spark plugs and i turn the key and my baby woke up from a deep sleep ! it was putting along year ago . And it was bad spark plugs . And i should be driving it by next weekend !!! . i had the wrong ones in there -.-

So good to hear you saved her. Everyone had told me to get rid of my 95 ladybug as well but it was still running and they still wanted me to get rid of it . Thanks for the number there are no junkyards wit any dsm's out here where i live
