I rebuilt my short block and replaced all the nessery stuff to make it reliable.

i live up in the NE heights area. like right next to tanoan(no im not a rich kid). but right now im in the process of pulling the engine out(CW ). and then once i get it out im not sure what i will do. i might just replace the crank or maybe get a 6 bolt or jdm engine in there . it would be cool to get some help on it seeing as how im fairly new to DSMs(had my car one day before it died on me ).

Sounds fun We should meet up some time. After my rebuild Im getting boost creep 18+ and fuel cut like a mutha above 5K. Time for fuel mods i guess.

I would be willing to help out. My cusion has a 1G Eclipse GSX, I help him out alot. Maybe I could keep my eye out for a 6bolt.

i was really starting to doubt if there were any other new mexicans on this board....I'm from belen, 30mi south of abq....used to live in the NE heights on zena lona tho...i have a friend that would be able to gather some of his peeps together (he mods mitsu. colts and pontiac fieros) for a greater showing of numbers if you two are up for it. i need to get the basics (gen. maintenance) done on my car before i will be able to buy anything to compete/show at the level you two are prolly at (just bought an abused 1g 1.8 eclipse).

great idea all the same, we should meet up some time and discuss this some more.

That sounds good Stry. My cusion lives in Los Lunas. My car has a super clean engine but the body needs some attention Hood/ small dents here and there.

Hey Cyclone and Stryker. I'm here in Clovis stationed at Cannon AFB. My wife and myself have family up there in Alb that live off of N. Coors in the Rio Rancho area. I own a 90GSX and my wife has a 97GST. My brother owns a 92 GS. He is stationed at Kirtland AFB. We are always up there or they are down here visiting.
We're up for a meet. Let me know!! Got a few Air Force buddies with DSMs down here too.

sweet we finally got some more new mexicans on this thread

if we were to throw together a meet i could probably get at least two more ppl to come (ones got a 90 GSX the other has i believe a 92 Tsi) they are great guys but dont know too much really when it comes to their cars.

but yeah Cyc if u could keep an eye out for a good 6 bolt i would like to know about it

im starting to get close to actually getting the old engine out. but with work and also me and my father learning what the hell we are doing with this thing its going fairly slowly . if anybody has done the swap and would be willing to help that would be extremely chill

but yeah i guess we just need to pick a place and a time to get together a meet

well I think this is going real well.. i'm glad to see some people here in Alb on the boards..as far as the yahoo group it sounds like a good idea to me... I'd be willing to start it.. if anyone thinks its a good idea to start it? as for the frontier... ehhh there will be little or no parking at all... I can't seem to think of a good place off the top of my head..lets get a place set down.. so i can let some of my DSM friends who aren't on the boards know. This should be one hell of a meet

the yahoo group sounds like a pretty good idea and i think we should try to do something like that.

as for using the frontier i would say thats probably not the place to go. as boosted said their not much if any room to park. just an idea though: i live up in the NE part of ABQ (kinda close to Paseo Del Norte) and since they are expanding the city out here a lot the parking lots are frickin huge. so i know its a lil more out of the way for most of u ppl but if space is our concern then i would say to find a place out here to use. thats just my $.02
