We will be requiring that all classified ads posted contain at least one photo depicting the item(s) you're selling - every item in your ad should have a photo associated with it, except for part-outs. Do not include photos of anything but the item you're selling. WTB ads will be given some flexibility obviously. We're doing this for a couple reasons.

The first reason is to help increase trust among buyers/sellers and add another layer of security for our members. It will help show the potential buyers that the seller actually does have the listed item in his/her possession. We'd even recommend sellers take it a step further and include a piece of paper in the photo with their username written on it to eliminate any doubt. If we get reported ads where sellers are posting generic photos, or photos thought to be stolen, we'll remove the ad. The photo you post for your items for sale should be of the actual products. And, if you have multiple items for sale, we'd like to see photos for all items.

The second reason we're requiring photos is because it just makes sense that people who want to sell something on our site take a photo of it to help show its condition. It will help cut down on the number of PM's/emails with questions about the item if the seller just posts a photo, not to mention it will be a big help for buyers on our site.

I'm sure there will be some who complain about this new requirement, and I do apologize for any added inconvenience. But we feel that the positives outweigh the negatives. We do realize that we have some categories where it might not make sense to require photos, like the "Want to Buy" category - maybe buyers can post photos of what they're looking to buy (generic photos taken from other online sources will be fine in this instance). We're of the opinion that our members can use good judgment in these cases.

Just bringing this back to the top in case people missed it. I've been noticing a fair amount of people uploading random images for their ads which have no relation to the item(s) they're selling. Keep in mind the photos have to be of the actual parts in which you are selling. So please don't post up a picture of your car or engine bay if you're selling injectors. If you don't have at least one image of the part you're selling, don't post an ad. Ads with incorrect photos will be removed.
